Songs for a Cosmonaut: Mission Report

This EP is comprised of six tracks. Each track contributes to a very loose narrative. The narrative also reflects some facets of what could be considered Left Hand Path initiation or, in less mysterious language, mindful self-evolution. This is the first volume of an undetermined series of Songs for a Cosmonaut. The imagery of deep space found within this EP and any subsequent tracks in the series, is intended to be a symbol of the deep recesses of the Self. Like the exploration of space, the exploration of the Self requires curiosity, courage, and inspiration.

The tracks provide a narrative moving from the imposition of chaos to the harnessing and leveraging of internal friction and struggle. A Dreadful Malfunction represents a period of unexpected disruption where our perspective of reality is thrown into question. Resigned to Loss is the period of acceptance. We mindfully acknowledge something needs to change. It becomes clear that we need to adapt and evolve. Tangential Decision indicates that we need to move in order to mindfully adapt to our new situation and state of being. There is a risk in waiting too long and thinking too much. Sometimes we just need to jump head first into the unknown and see where it takes us. A Cold Solar System reminds us that just because we are working to reintegrate ourselves after a disruption, it does not mean things will be sunshine and roses. The Universe is indifferent and owes us nothing. The new path we find ourselves on will feel daunting and lonely. That sense of isolate being can be difficult but the rewards of experiencing extreme liberation is worth it! A sense of inner power arises as we become more familiar with the divine pattern of our own Self. This is symbolised by the Black Hole. The result of harnessing that roiling centre of Self is, in a very real sense, A New Beginning. Not everyone will have these experiences. Not everyone will become a cosmonaut of the Self. However, for those to whom these experiences have happened or are happening, these songs are for you. May the Songs for a Cosmonaut inspire you to become more than you thought possible. Become a Cosmonaut of and for the Principle of Isolate Intelligence.
